Autumn is such a lovely time for a Riverside Park engagement session. Especially just as the leaves start to change, when the weather is cool and the sun still stays golden until late in the day.
I met Aida and JP on one of those gorgeous afternoons where everything was beautiful.
They looked like they had come straight out of a modern-day set of Funny Face. From head to toe they were picture perfect. Aida and I became instant friends through our shared Anthro-obsession. In fact her outfit was made up of two of the loveliest Anthropologie pieces I’d ever seen! JP wore dark blue slacks, a beige blazer, a pinstriped button down, and perfectly matched suede shoes (oh, how I loved those shoes!).
As we strolled through the park, we talked about everything from wedding details to apartment hunting. We marveled on how captivating the architecture in the city is, stopping to take photos in front of some of our favorite buildings.
While we made plans to get a bite to eat together after the shoot, a last minute inspiration struck us when we saw a cab parked on the side of the street. As the sun set behind us, making the leaves sparkle green and gold, the smile on the cabbie face said it all — It was the perfect end to a perfect day.
