We took these Central Park engagement photos of Clarissa and Alfred on their first visit to NYC from Australia.
It’s hard to find a more perfect place for engagement photos in NYC than Central Park.
No matter what time of year it is, there are always going to be beautiful backgrounds and golden light. This winter the weather in NYC was much milder than usual, so some parts of Clarissa and Alfred’s Central Park engagement session had an almost springtime vibe to it. Since their New York City visit was such an epic adventure in their relationship, we wanted to capture them in as many parts of the park as possible.
Our itinerary for Central Park engagement photos:
We started at Bethesda Terrace, where Bethesda Fountain was dry and the trees were barren. We took advantage of the temperature and had them remove their coats, so Clarissa could show off the delicate lace dress she was wearing underneath.
Then, we had them sit and embrace on a grassy knoll covered in fallen brown leaves and straw, where the sun cast an ethereal glow on their skin.
After that we headed west, making our way over Bow Bridge, the cast-iron structure that connects Cherry Hill with the Ramble that was built between 1859 and 1862. With the lake reflecting trees and buildings in the background and sun shining on their faces, we knew we picked the perfect time to embark on our session.
We took some photos with Central Park West in the distance, and then made our way back east to the Mall, where we concluded with a candid shot of this lovely couple laughing it up.
We couldn’t be happier that we were able to put a time stamp on their trip to NYC, and they’ll have these gorgeous Central Park engagement photos to look back on for a lifetime.
